Description
Summary:The main focus of the present work was to study the comfort properties of underpants for hemorrhoid patients. Three different knitted fabrics were embedded with polyurethane foam in a variety of densities and shapes. The tests were carried out in the lab and experimented directly on hemorrhoid patients. The comfort tests were obtained with Fabric Touch Tests and Moisture Management Test based on the standard of AATCC 195-209. The fabric touch test showed that Lycra had the highest average of comfort according to the values of smoothness, softness, and warmness. Moreover, it also was classified as moisture management fabric which had good one-way transport. The patients also determined that underpants made of Lycra fabric and the pads with 115 kg/m3 of density and extended circle shape, were comfortable to wear and painless.
