Summary:From Cambridge, George moved to University College Hospital London for his clinical studies, qualifying in 1958. After house jobs at UCH, he went to St George’s Hospital as medical registrar, then as cardiac registrar, to Addenbrook’s Hospital, Cambridge. On returning to UK, he became senior registrar in cardiology at the Brompton Hospital. Throughout George’s professional life he took especial pleasure in teaching cardiology to both undergraduate and graduate students.
