Description
Summary:Intentionality is a fundamental consideration when looking at the use, effectiveness and impact of the languages of communities experiencing marginality. When a community is of social outliers, the intention behind the linguistic representation of the self serves as a steering wheel. Where this wheel is trans language activism, the constellations of matters to be navigated appear both simple to theorize and too complex to summarize. This commentary is a response to Lal Zimman's article "Trans language activism and intersectional coalitions" (same journal issue).
