Description
Summary:In this work, zinc-doped titanium di-oxide (Zn-TiO2) nanoparticles were prepared by using sol-gel method. The optical and surface morphological studies were investigated by using UV-Visible (UV-Vis.) spectroscopy, Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy, and fluorescent (FL) spectroscopy, particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). UV-Visible absorbance spectrum showed the highest absorption in the ultra-violet region and reduced in the visible and near-infrared spectral region. The FTIR spectrum was confirmed the strong presence of O-Ti-O at 550 cm−1 and FL spectrum revealed the sharp peak at 646.23 nm due to surface excited electron from the valence band to conduction band. In future, these nanoparticles will be used for the supercapacitors.
