Analysis of performance indicators of disc ripper blades using CAD, CAE engineering methods

Summary: | In the article, a 3D model of the Bracke disc ripper was modeled. To conduct the study, a simulated loading of the ripper blade was carried out. To do this, a 3D model of the ripper blade was modeled in the Compass 3D program. After creating the three-dimensional model, the file was saved in the “igs” format and uploaded to the Altair Inspire program. During the operation of the disc ripper, the cutting blades of the ripper are the replaceable element. Replacing worn blades is quite sensitive from the point of view of financial costs, since spare parts of the ripper are imported, expensive and have limited availability. A suitable replacement steel is 40X grade structural steel. To test the strength characteristics of blade knives made of 40X steel, the Altair Inspire software package was used. To analyze the strength characteristics of the blade of the disc ripper in the Altair Inspire program, the model was fixed and a load was applied. |
