Description
Summary:An electromagnetic missile launcher is designed and built as an experimental model to launch the 200 grams mass armature (i.e., missile). The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of an electromagnetic missile launcher with the linear induction synchronous coil technology. The missile launcher model is built, and the missile launch test is conducted for various power changes at constant mass conditions to analyze the performance of the electromagnetic missile launcher. The missile launch test is conducted using DC voltage in the range of 50V to 300V with an interval of 50V and the total distance traveled by the armature (i.e., missile) is 10 centimeters. Finally, this study demonstrates the launcher’s design, its pulsed power system, and the capability of the electromagnetic missile Launcher.
