Summary: | This paper proposes a novel application of AR glasses by deploying the YOLOv7 object detection algorithm on AR glasses devices. It enables the recognition and magnification of specific target objects, such as text in natural environmental backgrounds and traffic lights. This application aims to assist elderly people with visual impairments in identifying textual information and traffic light signals in their daily lives. We have carried out the design for two application scenarios: assisted reading and daily traffic. The feasibility of proposed design is verified through experiments. |
