Description
Summary:This research paper describes the bibliometric analysis of the sustainability of a multi-echelon supply chain that is used for optimizing the levels of inventory across the entire supply chain network and bettering customer service levels. The bibliometric analysis carried out depicts the performance analysis and science mapping for the combination of topics Multi-Echelon Supply Chain and Sustainability by considering the publication-related metrics such as total publications, most cited papers, productive authors including the number of citations per author, most influential journals, and cross-country collaborations, using keywords mapping and network analysis. A complete bibliometric study was conducted on 331 articles retrieved from the Scopus database published between 1985 and 2022. The collected data has been analysed using Bibliometrix R and VOSviewer, which revealed the major trends in the articles, with reference to the authors/ countries, journal performance, and co-occurrence. Based on a content- analysis of published papers, this research article also reveals the research gaps and the potential for further research on the sustainability of a multi-echelon supply chain.
