Summary: | Internet technology has been used to support various data services, including data storage services. However, current data storage technology is centralized, which means that all data is stored in one entity. This has its drawbacks, one of which is that the stored data can be misused by the entity owner. Therefore, a distributed storage system with strong validation is needed. One technology that has these characteristics is Blockchain using the IPFS or Interplanetary File System protocol. This research successfully built an IPFS-based storage system, and all functions of the system are running well. As for the performance testing results of the distributed storage system based on IPFS, the average index obtained is 4, which is categorized as Very Good. The average throughput value of 6.8 Mbps is also categorized as Very Good with an index of 4, and the packet loss with an average value of 0.026% is also categorized as Very Good. |
