Description
Summary:A method for assessing the safety of crane metal structures is proposed based on the monitoring data results of stress in dangerous sections. This method utilizes the stress-time history of these sections as input, employing statistical analysis through the rainflow counting method. The strength verification theory and the linear fatigue cumulative damage theory are applied to determine the strength margin and remaining fatigue life of the dangerous sections. Through reasonable assumptions, it has been confirmed that this method effectively evaluates the safety of crane metal structures, including the bridge erection machine. The findings presented in this paper offer valuable insights for the safety assessment of crane metal structures, thereby facilitating their practical application in engineering contexts.
