It has been revealed that composites containing boron difluoride 3-amino-1-phenyl-2-buten-1-onate (1a) and boron difluoride 3-methylamino-1-phenyl-2-buten-1-onate (2a) dyes in polystyrene exhibit exciplex luminescence.
