Summary:We examine how the interplay of partners' interpersonal orientations in a decision-making dyad impacts the joint decision quality. Using both subjective (satisfaction) and objective (deviation of joint decision from partners' individual preferences) measures of decision quality, we show that altruistic/altruistic dyads make worse joint decisions than altruistic/selfish dyads.
