Summary:For this reason, and given its full political relevance, we consider it necessary to review the theoretical consistency of the arguments that are favorable to this practice. With this, we wish to clarify whether they have the necessary and sufficient ethical support claim the social acceptance and demand the legalization of this practice or if, on the contrary, the use of the arguments that are summoned in its defense, related to the notions of right, freedom or diversity, are not sufficiently opportune to be considered legitimate. De este modo, apelando a la libertad individual de las mujeres, se concluye que todas y cada una de ellas pueden decidir libremente gestar el bebé de otra persona o pareja sin que por ello se vean sometidas a una utilización reprochable desde un punto de vista ético. Y si en la libertad individual de las mujeres está gestar para otros, no hay motivo por el que limitar la autonomía de las unas, y cercenar el supuesto derecho a descendencia de los otros.
