Description
Summary:Land rehabilitation, along with urban sprawl and the construction of new towns, has emerged as an important component of modern city development due to the rapid increase in urbanisation that is occurring today. The limited capacity of roadways and the volume of traffic are at the top of the list of concerns for transportation professionals. The objective of the project was to enhance the economic, aesthetic, and technical aspects of an area through the development of improvement proposals. Therefore, the detailed designs and drawings for various aspects of the project, such as road alignment, signals, footpaths, intersections, and other traffic regulating aids of the junctions, are analysed. These aspects include the road alignment, the signals, the intersection, and the footpath. This project investigated the feasibility of implementing a traffic improvement operation plan in the Kanjikuzhi area of Kottayam, which is located in the state of Kerala. The project focused on engineering, management, and control measures, and it took into account the quality and safety of the traffic. The design considerations, construction methods, and material requirements that went into the making of a bus bay and how it was ultimately implemented. In addition to this, the study investigated what would happen if the suggested idea was implemented and how this could be done.
