Description
Summary:The polycarbonate aluminium has admirable properties such as strength, toughness, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. The polycarbonate aluminium 7075 material is produced by an additive manufacturing such as fusion deposition modeling (FDM). It is an efficient method to produce the components by the combination of metal and carbonates. The developed or synthesized material is evaluated under peel test and abrasive resistance test. The excellent adhesive strength is developed between polycarbonate and aluminium. The adhesive strength is evaluated in the variation of input factors such as peel angle, speed and peeling force. The optimal adhesive strength can be achieved through taguchi method. Abrasive resistance rate is disc speed, sliding distance and type abrasive used. The desirable abrasive resistance rate is attained for disc speed of 900 rpm, flow velocity of 30 m/s and sliding distance of 400 m. Disc speed is shown that the maximum effect on ARR (83.06%) followed by flow velocity (14.23%).
