Summary: | Before exploring its potential aeronautical uses, this paper examines the construction and modeling of the first fractal patch antenna in HFSS, compares its RF performance to that of a simple square patch antenna, and more. In this study, we compare the return loss and VSWR of two antenna designs often used in aerospace: a simple square patch antenna and an iterative fractal patch antenna. A sample size of 32 people is used for each kind of antenna. The 64 samples were measured using a sample calculator, which led to a pre-test power of 80%. The RF performance of the first-iteration fractal patch antenna is better than that of the basic square patch antenna, with a return loss of -26.4937 dB and a VSWR of 0.8232. Initially, the novel fractal patch antenna’s optimal dimensions were 41.9 x 51 x 1.6 mm∼3. Reached an RF performance p-value of less than 0.01. The RF performance of the first iteration’s fractal patch antenna is much better than that of the standard square patch antenna. |
