Summary:Myrrha and Sage extract solutions are anticipating prophylactic and disinfectant agents against micro-organisms, suggesting that these solutions might be useful as antimicrobial topical solutions in treating some of the dental infections. Three different concentrations of mixing (1:1 ratio) of Myrrha and Sage extract solutions 2%, 5% and 10% were separately exposed to C. albicans and chlorohexidine solution that used as control to treat the PMMA and Flexible Acrylic plates, the percentage of colonies reductions were calculated. Showed the number of colonies and percentage of colonies reductions by using chlorohexidine 2% solution as control and the following Sage or Myrrha extract solutions were 2%, 5% and 10%, that were separately treated the PMMA or flexible acrylic plates exposed to the Candida albicans. In Sage and Myrrha extract solutions, the colonies reductions of Candida albicans were 91.80%, 96.15%, 97.65% respectively for PMMA or Acrylic flexible plates compared to 98.41% reduction for chlorohexidine with mean p-value 0.0014, 0.0010, 0.0023 and 0.0038, respectively. This study considers mixing Myrrha and Sage extract solutions of natural plants are very promising solutions and capable of using as alternative solutions in treating Candida albicans in PMMA or Flexible Acrylic plates compared to the artificial chemical solutions such as a comparative disinfectant chlorohexidine.
