Summary: | The prevalence of the new orthonairovirus, named the Wetland virus, was subsequently tracked by researchers in north-eastern China using active hospital surveillance and molecular and serological testing. RSV vaccine effectiveness The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccination for adults aged 60 years and older, based on its efficacy against lower respiratory tract disease in pre-licensure trials. All individuals with an indication for testing should be offered effective treatment if confirmed to have active infection and undergo a test of cure after treatment. |
