Description
Summary:Structural and mechanical testing results obtained for carbon fiber-reinforced plastics made of carbon tape coated with stainless steel based on an epoxy binder are presented. The carbon fiber-reinforced plastic samples were produced based on an infusion technology with the use of various curing techniques. The finished samples were kept in a 7% NaCI solution, with assessing the interlayer shear strength and microstructure thereof. Based on these studies, it has been revealed that the use of a modified vacuum infusion technology provides obtaining high quality carbon fiber-reinforced plastics.
