Summary: | The production of transition metal salts is directly related to numerous areas of their use both in the form of finished products and as raw materials for the production of composites and materials with special properties in electronics. This is due to the extensive line of methods for their production, among which the method of exchange decomposition prevails. Despite the universality of the exchange decomposition method, it has a number of significant drawbacks, among which can be distinguished the formation of large volumes of wastewater and assortment restriction, it is applied only for the production of poorly soluble salts. Individual methods are unified for a specific product and equipment, and are often difficult to implement. The article considers the possibility of creating a technology for producing metal salts based on the oxidation of metals by oxides containing similar metals in the presence of molecular iodine additives. The process assumes the presence of an intermediate macrocyclic stage, the direct stage of which is the direct oxidation of metal with molecular iodine, and during the reverse stage, the formed iodides are oxidized by metal oxides with the regeneration of the iodine consumed in the direct stage and the formation of the final product. The selection of conditions ensures the integrated use of raw materials, at the same time the use of metal waste in the form of chips, sawdust, wire, etc. is allowed. |
