Summary:An abstract video was created to send preoperatively via e-mail to parents and patients prior to their scheduled surgical procedure. The video was created in hospital setting depicting each step throughout the perioperative process for the pediatric patient and their family. This video was created post COVID-19 as pediatric surgical hospital tours were cancelled. In an effort to safely and proactively prepare our pediatric population, we created this pediatric perioperative surgical video to help both the patient and families experience the hospital tour from the comfort of their homes. We additionally collected pre- and postdata to complete our evidence-based project.
