Description
Summary:A wearable textile antenna is proposed using felt as substrate and copper tape as conductor material at 2.4 GHz for military application. The overall dimension of the antenna is 102.5 x 61 x 2 mm. In order to conceal the shape of the antenna used by military personnel, the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) badge is employed to prevent detection by the enemy. The simulation results showed that the antenna functioned at2.4 GHz with an S11 value of -16.19 dB and a bandwidth of 20 MHz (2.405 GHz - 2.425 GHz). The antenna also achieved a gain value of 3.45 dB and displayed a directional radiation pattern. During fabrication, the antenna yielded a frequency of 2.6 GHz with a broader bandwidth of 28 MHz (2.65 GHz - 2.68 GHz). The result of SAR values of the proposed antenna for 1 and 10 g are 0.3 and 0,1 W/kg, respectively. These values indicate the antenna’s safety for human use, as they fall below the established maximum standard. Furthermore, the antenna’s material offers a compact and flexible solution, making such an antenna a promising candidate for integration into various wearable devices.
