Summary:Chile, lugares de memoria, lugares de resistencia, memoria colectiva, resistencias, revuelta social ABSTRACT This study seeks to understand the memorial uses of public space during the 2019 social revolt in Santiago (Chile), and its relationship with places of memory that have as a focus the memory of the crimes of the civil-military dictatorship. A qualitative methodology is used, based on an ethnographic approach to the subject studied. Problematizando las ideas de Nora desde una psicología social de la memoria (Piper et al., 2013), defendemos la necesidad de ir más allá de la intención de construir un elemento simbólico y proponemos comprenderlo como un espacio que es usado para recordar a través de acciones de memoria que enuncian, articulan e interpretan sentidos del pasado.
