Summary:A mild and efficient method was proposed for the preparation of N -aryl phenothiazines by C–H/N–H coupling of halogenated phenols with phenothiazines under electrochemical conditions. The reaction proceeded in the absence of a metal catalyst, external oxidants and additives. The desired phenothiazine derivatives were obtained in yields of up to 83%.
