Description
Summary:Cloud robotics is a field that interfaces a robot with cloud computing to operate the device without having to integrate the data into its memory. The need to control and train the robots from a distant place could be achieved through cloud computing. In this work, it is proposed to store the data corresponding to the actions performed by the robot in the cloud and process it with the help of a microcontroller and sensors. This model consists of a glove to be worn by the human operator and a robotic hand that will mimic the actions performed by the human. The robotic hand is placed at a significant physical distance from the human operator. The system is implemented and tested in hardware and interfaced with the cloud using suitable APIs. This system can be extended to an industrial environment to control a robot with hand gestures. The concept of this paper is that the robot hand needs to be controlled by humans without any direct connection between the user and object and to enact the same gestures produced by humans without any barrier of operating radius. We have successfully implemented the system through hardware experimentation.
