Description
Summary:The design and thermal state of finned plate heat exchangers with different coolant input and output are considered. The heat exchangers proposed are rectangular in cross section and trapezoidal in longitudinal section. In models M4 and M5 the coolant is supplied laterally, at the larger base of the trapezium, and leaves laterally, at the smaller base of the trapezium. In model M6, the coolant is supplied through the smaller base of the trapezium, and leaves through the larger base. The consistency of the thermal balance is determined, and the thermal and flow characteristics are studied. With bilateral coolant output, the intensely cooled heat exchange surface is larger.
