Especially materials with high strength and light weight are particularly demanding the attention of researchers. Materials like Metal matrix composites due to their unconventional properties like high temperature stability, specific strength, and wear resistance are highly in demand. They exhibit unique properties like strength, good toughness, corrosion resistance and wear properties etc. This paper aims at discussing various methods of producing Metal matrix composites, applications of Aluminium -Metal matrix composites in different business and mechanical industries. The study also focuses on various reinforcement materials used in composites.
