Description
Summary:The goal of this study is to analyse the implementation of the (Corporate Social Responsibility) CSR in the former communist countries while addressing the following points: How was the CSR concept perceived in these countries; Who were the main actors of its implementation; How was the CSR adapted to the local conditions; What is the utility of RSE for the local economies. In the first place. 256 firms from 7 countries (Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Macedonia) participated in the study. Then, the study was focused on one particular country, Bulgaria, in order to gather more precise information. It appears that the CSR is not perceived as a complex method and that its promotion is mainly performed by the international institutions and the NGOs. [PUB ABSTRACT]
