Hypnosis and encounter group volunteers: A validation study of the sensation-seeking scale

In 2 studies, the Sensation-Seeking Scale (SSS) scores of college students who volunteered or did not volunteer for hypnosis and encounter group studies were compared. Volunteers for both types of studies had significantly higher SSS scores than nonvolunteers.
