Summary: | Reports the development of the College Criteria Questionnaire (CCQ), a set of 67 behaviorally anchored scales for describing dimensions of college student performance. The CCQ was used by 376 faculty, students, and administrators to describe 625 "most successful" and 534 "least successful" students. Factor analyses, of the descriptions yielded 5 academic and 8 nonacademic common factors, in addition to several unique categories of behavior. Factor structures were consistent for describing both most successful and least successful students. The categories showed modest, but significant, correlations with admissions variables and GPA. Applications of the CCQ are discussed. (18 ref) |
