Description
Summary:Suggests that the study of work behavior may be viewed as a scientific entity, cutting across disciplinary lines. Specific areas of concern for this field are suggested (work in culture, prevocational behavior, vocational choice, work performance, job satisfaction, leisure and avocational behavior, and retirement), as are disciplines having contributions to make to each of these areas. A self-consistent set of definitions for major constructs relevant to all the areas in this field are offered to facilitate organizing existing data and promoting further research.
