Summary: | Summarizes two articles concerning reaction time. Gatewood (1920) investigated the speed and accuracy of the reactions of the fingers of the two hands in response to visual stimuli. Individual differences are marked, both in speed and accuracy. The effect of practice, instead of resulting in a uniform increase with each finger, is to equalize the reactions of the several fingers. The effect of combining reactions is to increase speed and accuracy. Also, Braendle (1920) described a new voice reaction key that may be used with the Hipp chronoscope. |
