Description
Summary:Language Learning & Technology stands alone among established language/linguistics journals in being an entirely online, open-access (OA) publication. However, it shares with the other journals the problem of an increasing percentage of unpublishable manuscripts and simultaneously the need to increase the number of quality submissions. Here, Chun and Thompson discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being an online and OA journal and details the reasons for the large number of rejections and possible ways to increase the number of quality manuscripts.
