Summary:This article presents mathematical models, algorithms, and computer programs to solve a series of engineering problems in blast-furnace operation for MES-level automated information systems. The software that has been developed can be recommended for use in the real-time control of blast-furnace smelting, the design of automated work stations for engineers and technicians, the solution of a range of strategic problems encountered in production planning and the shipment of fuels and raw materials, and optimization of energy-resource management at Russian metallurgical plants.
