Summary: | We present a 3D anatomically realistic model of the human head - John3Doe - for the calculation of specific absorption rate (SAR) and temperature rise induced by cellular phones. The head model is made of 16 different materials and was built using computer tomography scans of a real human head containing 109 slices with a 256 x 256 gray scale resolution. The 3D model size is 28.1 cm times 28.8 cm times 28.8 cm and is composed of 151 times 259 times 259 cells in the x, y and z directions, respectively. The cell size is 1.86 mm times 1.11 m times 1.11 mm in x, y and z directions, which allows the simulation of problems in the frequency range up to 16 GHz. In addition, we introduce a software specially developed to visualize different plane cuts, materials, positions of the 3D head model, color plots of SAR and temperature rise results. |
