Description
Summary:A simple but effective structure supporting superluminal group-velocities is analytically investigated in this letter. This model is used to explain the physical phenomena causing the apparent time-advancement of pulse-peaks measured in several experiments described in the technical literature. The reported analysis is applied to an L-band cavity, for which group-velocities 20 times higher than c are measured.
