Magnetic Resonance and Light Microscopy Investigation of Raw Cells Treated With Dextran-Based Magnetic Fluid

In the present study, magnetic resonance (MR) and light microscopy (LM) were used to investigate in vitro effects of dextran-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) on mouse Raw cells. LM showed the increasing internalization and metabolization of MNPs. MR allowed determination of fundamental parameter...

Description
Summary:In the present study, magnetic resonance (MR) and light microscopy (LM) were used to investigate in vitro effects of dextran-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) on mouse Raw cells. LM showed the increasing internalization and metabolization of MNPs. MR allowed determination of fundamental parameters, such as the MNP internalization half-life (t 1/2 ). The data evidenced that MR can be used as a key spectroscopic technique to investigate MNP internalization and cell/tissue interaction processes in biological systems
