Interaction of molten iron with materials containing hematite

The interaction of molten iron with ceramic materials based on hematite, as well as with TsKS and BGK special concretes, is investigated. It is revealed that the interaction begins with thermal decomposition of hematite and oxidation of boundary layers of molten iron to wüstite.
