On the nature of anomalies of the electrical resistivity of low-alloyed CoSiB amorphous alloys

Description
Summary:Temperature dependences of the electrical resistivity ρ(T) of metallic amorphous alloys Co^sub 1 - x^(Si, B)^sub x^ with x = 0.28 and 0.29 alloyed with Fe and Cr have been studied in a temperature range of 77-950 K. The character of the ρ(T) dependences for the basic composition and Fe-alloyed compositions has been shown to be affected substantially by electron-magnon scattering. The ρ(T) dependences for the Cr-alloyed compositions are characterized by a minimum whose position depends on the chromium content. The results obtained are discussed using various model concepts. Arguments presented allow supposition that it is the electron-electron coupling that is the most probable cause of the observed minimum of the electrical resistivity ρ.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
