Comments on "Worst-case tolerance analysis of linear analog circuits using sensitivity bands" [with reply]
In the original paper [see ibid., vol. 47, p. 1138-45, 2000] a new algorithm for solving a class of worst-case linear circuit tolerance analysis problems has been suggested. The algorithm is based on the application of the interval approach using various interval analysis techniques. Such an approac...

Summary: | In the original paper [see ibid., vol. 47, p. 1138-45, 2000] a new algorithm for solving a class of worst-case linear circuit tolerance analysis problems has been suggested. The algorithm is based on the application of the interval approach using various interval analysis techniques. Such an approach has been in existence for over 20 years. However, the paper of Tian and Shi raises several comments that can be categorized into the following three groups. A) Insufficient rigor in the problem statement, terminology, and notation used. B) Presentation of known facts. C) Inaccurate assertions. A reply to the comments is given. |
