Effect of tunable filter characteristics on the pulse performance of actively mode-locked fiber lasers

The effect of filter characteristics on the output performance of actively mode-locked fiber ring lasers has been studied experimentally and numerically, with the same 3-dB bandwidth, the filter that has a flatter wavelength response tends to generate narrower soliton-like pulses.
