Summary: | Amphibolites are the main type of metamorphic rocks in the Ilmenogorskii Complex [13], in which they are interbedded with gneisses, migmatites, quartzites, and schists of various compositions. The portion of amphibolites in metamorphic rocks of the Selyankinskii substrate block including lithologi cally different stratified series (Selyankinskaya, Firs ovskaya, Ilmenogorskaya) ranging from 20 to 60% of the whole volume. Anorthitic amphibolites in the exo contact zones of ultrabasic massifs are related to the special type. The results of detailed mineralogical and geochemical investigations of both substrate and anorthite amphibolites are discussed in [2]. In partic ular, the maximal contents of Si, K, Fe, Zr, Co, V, and REE are reported for amphibolites of the Selyankin skaya series; the high aluminum content is typical for amphibolites of the Firsovskaya Series; anorthite amphibolites are distinguished by the highest Cr and Ni concentrations. |
