Summary: | Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumours are benign lesions most commonly located in the lungs, abdominal origin is rare. As differentiation from malignant conditions can be difficult on clinical grounds alone, pathological examination is essential. We report a patient with an abdominal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumour in whom the diagnosis could be made by laparotomy and pathological examination. |
