Management of asthma in pregnancy – Authors' reply

The evidence about asthma in pregnancy shows that the most deleterious occurrence is the mother having a severe asthma attack. Since inhaled corticosteroids and long-acting β2 agonists (LABAs) are safe in pregnancy, one should err on the side of controlling asthma.
