Description
Summary:The increasing distributed generation (DG) penetration on distribution systems requires the development of reliability model including DGs for evaluating the impact of DGs on distribution systems. This paper presents a new reliability evaluation model considering the DGs, which can handle the influence of DGs on the distribution system, and an optimization model of distribution network islanding program is built, in which the maximum equivalent load is taken as the objective function. The depth‐first search and breadth‐first search technology are used to solve the problem. Besides, the minimal path method of the traditional assessment analysis is well modified to suit for the calculation of the distribution system with DGs. An IEEE‐RBTS system is analyzed to exhibit the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
