The King and Eye: A Study in Anglo-Norman Politics
The honor of Eye, which played an important part in the politics of the Anglo-Norman realm, was one of the dozen or so largest land holdings created by the conquerors of England after 1066. The history of Eye between the period of 1087 and 1106 under Norman kings is discussed.
