Description
Summary:Gay culture is now mainstream and indeed booming in the media, with shows like "Doctor Who", "The Wire" and "Glee"; it replaces the camp film and TV stereotypes of previous decades. Charts the progress of gay acceptance from films like 1970's "The Boys in the Band", "Cruising" in 1980, and TV's "Queer as Folk" in 1999, but even "Will and Grace" (1998 onwards) now seems dated; the film "Brokeback Mountain" appears to mark the divide.
