Summary:After a decade of work, struggle, revision and reconsideration, the strengths of the "Inter-Asia Cultural Studies" approach are assessed and the places where that approach might broaden or deepen are considered. One strength is the claim that "Inter-Asia Cultural Studies" gives a voice, throughout the global intellectual community, to those concerned with the inter-Asia process. What is original about the ten year record of achievement is the literalisation of the processural claim to something called "inter-Asia", and its insistence on process over history, social science field work or archival matters.
