description The atmospheric processes variability, which has a decisive influence on the air temperature and wind field characteristics in the Northeastern Black Sea is analyzed. Due to the standard experimental data collected in the 100 mile long ship transect abeam of Gelendzhik for the period of 1994–2009, the typical features of the hydrological structure and the water circulation for the intervals of the regional climate cooling and warming have been recognized. According to the separate hydrologic surveys performed in the cold and warm periods, the prevailing wind direction’s impact on the formation of the water circulation was estimated.
