Summary:A 42-year-old male patient with no medical history except hypertension presented with intermittent chest pain radiating to the left shoulder. From coronary computed tomography, a coarctation of proximal descending thoracic aorta was found demonstrating near aortic occlusion. From various available surgical options for this condition, we chose extraanatomic bypass from the left subclavian artery to the descending aorta.
